The name Loose Shoes alone evokes a sense of sunny, shambolic joy
as if some country folk got together for a
loose-limbed musical ramble, pickin’ and grinnin’ all the while.
“Killer Diller” is more or less the recording I’d imagine would result from that session.
Joe Brennen, Linda Christy, Lanny Fiegenschuh and Alejandro Rendon
work down-home wonders as Loose Shoes.
“Killer Diller” is a great record to have on hand for when temperatures soar once again.
It’s an album tailor-made for sippin’ lemonade and lazing the afternoon away.
Produced by local sound whiz Casey Friedman at his Inner State Studio over the course of a year,
“Killer Diller” is a leisurely excursion down some interesting musical side roads.
The quartet can easily switch from the gumbo-soaked N’awlins ditty “Zydeco Hop/Bon Ton Roulet”
to the folksy, tent revival passion of “Jesus Is My Aeroplane” without missing a beat.
Don’t let the rough-edged musicianship fool you; this foursome is a crack squad of music makers,
